Hugo Glendinning

Hugo Glendinning is an internationally renowned photographer whose practice spans collaborations with visual artists on photographic and video works, theatre, dance and performance documentation and portraits of prominent figures.
Working as a photographer and film-maker for over thirty years, he has worked with a number of artists including Paola Pivi, Martin Creed, Matthew Barney, Dan Colen, Yinka Shonibare and Franko B. He has also established a reputation as a leading photographer of experimental theatre and dance, capturing the notable works of companies including Michael Clark, Anne Teresa de Keersmaeker, Forced Entertainment, DV8 and Candoco.
Glendinning has recorded both performances for the camera, and public performances or events within private collections and global museums. He has published and exhibited works internationally and is a regular visiting lecturer at a number of Universities around the United Kingdom. Hugo was an AHRC fellow at Exeter University in the Department of Drama between 2008 – 2011.
