Humphrey Ocean

Humphrey Ocean showed A Handbook of Modern Life at the National Portrait Gallery in 2013.
He was born in Sussex, England and went to art schools in Tunbridge Wells, Brighton and Canterbury.
Ocean became a Royal Academician in 2004 and his work is in many public collections including the British Council Collection.
A fully illustrated monograph, Humphrey Ocean, with an essay by Ben Thomas, was published by the Royal Academy in 2019.
