Simon Tegala works across a range of media including drawing, photography, sculpture, video, performance and digital. His works often seek to engage the viewer by offering immersive installation experiences.
Since graduating from Goldsmiths, University of London, Tegala has exhibited in the UK and internationally including at Whitechapel Gallery, Hayward Gallery, Konsthallen Gothenburg and the National Gallery of Denmark.
In 2008, he developed a live art performance launch for the UK’s 2012 Cultural Olympiad. He was awarded the NESTA Fellowship in 2000, and represented the UK in the 2003 Havana Biennial.
Tegala lives and works in London.
