Artimage at 1
Since our launch in June 2014, Artimage has fast established itself as the go-to supplier for high quality images from the world’s leading modern and contemporary artists.
In the past year, our collection has almost doubled in size and now features 10,000 images covering a range of subjects, techniques, art movements and decades. Artists to join our growing portfolio over the past year include Jake and Dinos Chapman, Peter Doig, Gary Hume, John Piper, Mark Rothko and Frank Stella to name a few.
As a service from DACS, we clear the copyright for all reproductions and our fees go back to artists and their estates. On joining Artimage, Hew Locke said: “DACS has helped me out a number of occasions, so I knew I could trust them to license images of my work through Artimage.” Photographer Nicholas Sinclair added: "I think the Artimage website looks magnificent and my portraits seem really at home here. It's as if they belong on Artimage and that's a good feeling."
Since launch, we’ve licensed images for a range of projects, from the blockbuster film Kingsman: The Secret Service, to the Art Fund’s National Art Pass promotional print campaign. Other clients include the BBC, Christie’s, Harper’s Bazaar, National Galleries of Scotland, Royal Society of Chemistry, Tate, Thames and Hudson, The Times, Wingspan Productions, Yale University Press and many more.
On using Artimage to source images, Mel Francis, Image Co-ordinator at the Art Fund, said: “As a national charity working with such an immense variety of images, we frequently rely on DACS for image licensing. Artimage is a really useful resource for us.”

2. To receive a bottle of champagne, customers must place a valid order (“Order”) for the value of £100 or more via www.artimage.org.uk. An Order is defined as an order authorised by the artist for which payment has been received and the high resolution file supplied.
3. Once the Order is authorised the Customer will be notified by email.
4. Only one entry per customer is permitted.
5. Customers must be over 18 years of age and based in the UK to qualify for the Offer.
6. *This offer is subject to availability. There are a limited number of bottles of champagne available on a first come first served basis.
7. The bottle of champagne will be despatched within 21 working days after the Closing Date.
8. The bottles of champagne will be delivered by parcel delivery to addresses within the UK only.
