Rosie Leventon

Rosie Leventon is a British artist whose works span across sculpture, installation, environmental art, drawing and painting. She is perhaps best known for making sculptural installations that reflect on contemporary issues, while investigating vernacular architecture, archeology and environmental concerns.
Leventon experiments with new materials such as Celotex insulation, central heating pipes, recycled mobile phones and paperback books along with more durable materials like stone, water, earth and wood. Her works invite the viewer to meditate on vulnerability and the illusion of permanence. Often exploring that which has been lost, hidden or forgotten.
She has exhibited both nationally and internationally with solo shows held at the Serpentine Gallery, London; Felix & Spear Gallery, London; Atrium Gallery, Truro; Broadgate Centre, London; Chisenhale Gallery, London; Museum of Contemporary Art, Barcelona and Angus Hughes Gallery in London. She has also been awarded a number of prestigious awards including the Royal Society of Sculptors Spotlight Award, the Arts Council Awards, Henry Moore Sculpture Trust and The Elephant Trust.
Rosie Leventon is based in London, England.
