Waddington Custot was formed through the partnership of British art dealer Leslie Waddington and French art dealer Stephanie Custot in 2011.
Formerly named Waddington Galleries and located in Cork Street since 1958, the gallery has a rich heritage and international reputation for quality and expertise. Since the late 1950s the gallery has exhibited a diverse range of artists; including those belonging to the St Ives School movement, new generation British painters and sculptors, post war American artists in England as well as abstract expressionists and emergent colour field painters.
From the early 1970s their exhibition programme has presented the works of European and British masters including Pablo Picasso and Henri Matisse. New European and American painters and sculptors were introduced in the 1980s, including Dan Flavin and Robert Rauschenberg. Most recently in the 1990s the gallery has exhibited members of the young British artist movement, including Ian Davenport and Fiona Rae.
The gallery represents numerous notable contemporary British artists including Peter Blake, Patrick Caulfield and Joe Tilson. Artimage is delighted to be working with Waddington Custot to license images by a selection of their represented artists.
