Featuring live music and dance, Flying Into Daylight tells the story of Virginia, a young woman who, having recently recovered from cancer, leaves her job at an art auction house and journeys to Buenos Aires to find herself. Along the way, she discovers Tango, which reignites her passion for art.
Her adventure is bookmarked by two illuminating scenes in which she delivers a lecture on the painter Francis Bacon. Francis Bacon’s Triptych May-June, 1973 is projected onto the stage, serving to illustrate the discoveries she has made about life, death, art and the body.
On using DACS' Artimage service, Graeme Thompson, Creative Producer at Live Theatre said: "Working with DACS on this project was very useful. DACS provided a wonderful resource and were incredibly helpful throughout the process."
