What is Artimage?
Showcasing thousands of images from international artists, Artimage continues DACS’ ambition to develop new and innovative services benefitting both artists and licensing customers.
The launch of the service also coincides with our 30th anniversary year, in which we celebrate three decades of managing visual artists’ copyright.
By providing both the licence agreement and image file, Artimage streamlines the licensing process and speeds up production time for all publishing, merchandising and advertising needs.
Artimage highlights
Through the Artimage website, you can explore and license works by artists including Francis Bacon, Sir Peter Blake, Sandra Blow, Frank Bowling, Tracey Emin, Anya Gallaccio, Roger Hiorns, Damien Hirst, Roy Lichtenstein, Liliane Lijn, Richard Long, Yinka Shonibare, Andy Warhol and Jane and Louise Wilson, to name a few.
You can also discover unseen works and photos from artists’ archives. These include artworks by leading British abstract painter Victor Pasmore and photographs by Edward Woodman, who documented the life and works of the Young British Artists (YBA’s) - including Damien Hirst, Mat Collishaw and Yinka Shonibare.
In addition, we’ve collaborated with the Arts Council and British Council to license images of works in their collections. Covering a range movements and styles, these include artworks by British artists such as Patrick Caulfield, Elisabeth Frink and Albert Irvin.

We’ve also created collections of works based on art movements, techniques and decades to guide you in discovering images for your creative projects and campaigns.
