First broadcast on 8 June 2015, the documentary offers a rare, behind-the-scenes look at the practice of one of today’s most celebrated contemporary artists.
The cameras follow Tracey Emin in her east London studio, as she prepares for a major exhibition at the Leopold Museum. The exhibition pairs her work with the expressionistic paintings of Egon Schiele, an early 1900’s Viennese artist who shocked the establishment with his visceral and graphic nudes.
Artimage worked with the BBC to supply images of three key artworks for the film – including Tracey Emin’s well-known Everyone I Have Ever Slept With 1963-1995 (pictured above).
The documentary opens the latest series of What Do Artists Do All Day?. Each episode profiles a different artist, revealing unique insights into their working lives and creative process. Previous episodes feature the artists Jake and Dinos Chapman and Sue Webster, whose images are also represented on Artimage.
