Why do I need to license an image?
Buying a licence for an image is important, as it means you have permission from the artist, or copyright holder, to use their work.
Can’t I just use images from Google images?
Not if you want quality. An image grabbed off Google Images just won’t be as high quality as one from the artist’s actual archive, or from established collections like the Arts Council Collection or National Portrait Gallery. Artimage only source files directly from the artist, artist’s estate or from high-profile collections.
Support artists
By paying a small fee to licence an artist’s work, you are directly supporting and helping to sustain their practice. With Artimage, your licensing fee goes straight back to the artist, minus 35%, which helps us cover administration costs.
