Photography

A photograph is an image created by interaction of light on light-sensitive material. Photographs can be produced by different processes, among them carbon print, chromogenic print, daguerreotype, digital print and gelatin silver print.

Since its invention in the nineteenth century photography has progressed to become an important form of image-making and visual expression. The question of photography’s objectivity has been widely debated and questioned, and many contemporary photographers now use photography to play with the boundaries between fact, fiction and fantasy.
